The Emirates NBA Cup launched on November 12 and will culminate in a championship game in Las Vegas on December 17. To commemorate the occasion, Emirates unveiled a striking NBA-themed livery on its iconic Airbus A380, featuring a vibrant blue fuselage and eye-catching red engine cowls. NBA legend James Worthy was on hand to escort the trophy, which was warmly welcomed by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and Emirates’ Senior Vice President Thierry Aucoc upon arrival.
Unique In-Flight Experience for Passengers
Passengers aboard the special Emirates flight were treated to an immersive basketball experience. The cabin was adorned with basketball-themed decorations, and all travelers enjoyed NBA-branded food boxes, with a curated menu that included classic NBA games available on the in-flight entertainment system. Select live Cup games will also be shown during the tournament.

In conjunction with the Emirates NBA Cup, Emirates is introducing NBA-themed products and services on flights to and from 13 destinations across the U.S. and Canada until December 17. Passengers can expect:

Additionally, passengers can watch select Emirates NBA Cup games live on Sport24 through the in-flight entertainment system. A special playlist featuring NBA legends and a podcast interview with NBA Deputy Commissioner and COO Mark Tatum will also be accessible.
Until November 22, NBA-themed food and beverages will be available at Emirates lounges in Dubai, New York JFK, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Boston. Limited-edition NBA merchandise, including replica aircraft models, can be purchased at the Emirates Official Store.
