IndiGo Airlines (6E) is on the verge of launching non-stop flights to the picturesque Seychelles, following positive discussions with the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA). IndiGo primarily operates its international routes using Airbus A321neos, while also deploying A320neos for select short-haul flights. Recent second-quarter results revealed a strong demand for international travel, prompting IndiGo’s management to set ambitious goals of expanding to over 40 international destinations by the end of FY25, up from the current 30.

The launch of flights to Seychelles is supported by an Air Services Agreement signed between India and Seychelles in 2015. Currently, Air Seychelles operates a weekly direct flight to Mumbai (BOM), which has seen a surge in Indian visitors to Seychelles, increasing by over 50% from 2022 to 2023.
