With the resurgence of scheduled passenger services, Arkia Israeli Airlines is also making headlines. The airline plans to launch a new direct service between Tel Aviv and New York-JFK on February 9, 2024. This service, in collaboration with TechAir, aims to facilitate regular meetings for Israeli entrepreneurs and business investors in the US.
Operating three times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, Arkia will utilize a leased Airbus A330-900neo, which can accommodate 371 passengers. This service is expected to run initially until May 2025, though its continuation will depend on the competitive landscape as United and Delta reestablish their routes.
