Lufthansa Expands Allegris Premium Cabin Service to More Routes in 2025

Lufthansa is set to revolutionize the long-haul flying experience with its innovative Allegris onboard product, originally launched in May 2024. In an exciting update, the German flag carrier has announced that it will expand its premium cabin service to three additional routes, increasing the total number of cities benefiting from the Allegris experience to seven by 2025. This expansion promises enhanced comfort and luxury for travelers seeking a superior flying experience.

Since its debut, the Allegris service has only been available on flights from Munich to Bengaluru (BLR) as of November 2024. However, starting March 30, 2025, this exclusive offering will extend to flights from Munich to San Francisco (SFO), Shanghai (PVG), Chicago (ORD), and San Diego (SAN). Additionally, Allegris will be introduced on flights to New York-Newark (EWR) from April 15, 2025, with Charlotte joining the list in August 2025.

Expanding Premium Cabin Options

Heiko Reitz, Chief Customer Officer of Lufthansa Airlines, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion: “I am delighted that we are offering our guests Lufthansa Allegris on more and more routes. For flights to the USA alone, customers can choose between five destinations from Munich.” Currently, Lufthansa operates nine A350-900 aircraft equipped with the Allegris service, six of which feature the highly exclusive First Class cabins. The new cabin interiors have garnered impressive satisfaction rates, exceeding 90% in Business Class.

Passengers who have already booked seats on these newly added routes will automatically be upgraded to Allegris seating, ensuring they enjoy the elevated travel experience. However, the unique first-class Allegris product, featuring luxurious suites, will initially be available only on select flights to San Francisco, Chicago, San Diego, Shanghai, and Bengaluru, pending further fleet enhancements.
