The Air India Virgin Australia codeshare agreement enables Air India to operate under its ‘AI’ code on Virgin Australia flights, creating a more efficient travel experience. Travel Experience and Flight Details

Air India offers daily non-stop flights connecting Delhi (DEL) with Melbourne (MEL) and Sydney (SYD) using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Each aircraft features 18 flat-bed Business Class seats and 238 Economy Class seats, ensuring a comfortable journey. Passengers continuing on Virgin Australia will enjoy premium cabin services across both classes.

The codeshare operations are set to commence with bookings opening on February 11, 2025, and flights commencing on February 18, 2025. Regulatory authorities will provide final approval for the Queenstown, New Zealand route.
