Emirates Launches Daily Dubai-Shenzhen Flights

Emirates Launches Daily Non-Stop Flights to Shenzhen: A New Era for Air Travel Between Dubai and Mainland China

Emirates Airlines has announced an exciting development in air travel, becoming the first Middle Eastern airline to offer daily non-stop flights between Dubai and Shenzhen starting July 1, 2025. This new route not only expands Emirates’ reach into mainland China but also signifies a significant step in enhancing business and tourism exchanges between the UAE and this thriving technological hub.

In a press release dated March 3, 2025, Emirates revealed that Shenzhen will be its fourth destination in China, joining established routes to Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. With this expansion, Emirates aims to strengthen its connections and provide seamless travel options for passengers traveling to and from major global markets.

Enhancing Connectivity with Strategic Flight Scheduling

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted the importance of this new route: “Our expansion into Shenzhen opens new doors for business and economic exchange between this technological powerhouse and global markets.” The scheduled flight times to Shenzhen are designed to facilitate connections to key locations in Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, including:

  • Africa: Kenya, Egypt, South Africa
  • Middle East/GCC: Saudi Arabia
  • Europe: UK, Italy, Spain
  • Americas: Major gateways in the US and South America

Additional Routes to Vietnam and Cambodia

In addition to the Shenzhen route, Emirates will also commence four weekly flights to Da Nang, Vietnam, starting June 2, 2025, and three weekly flights to Siem Reap, Cambodia, beginning June 3, 2025. Both services will connect via Bangkok and will be operated using the airline’s two-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

  • Da Nang: This new service marks Emirates’ third gateway into Vietnam, further enhancing travel options after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
  • Siem Reap: The flight schedule is strategically designed to cater to leisure travelers with multiple daily connections from France, the UK, Spain, Germany, Portugal, and Russia.

A Comprehensive Route Network

With the addition of Shenzhen, Da Nang, and Siem Reap, Emirates is set to boast the largest and most diversified route network among non-Asian airlines in East Asia. The airline will operate a total of 269 flights per week from Dubai to 24 destinations in the region.
