Emirates Upgrades All Riyadh Flights to Boeing 777
Emirates Expands Boeing 777 Services to Riyadh with Retrofits
Emirates Airline is set to enhance its services with the introduction of newly retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft on its daily flights between Dubai (DXB) and Riyadh (RUH). The rollout starts on March 30, 2025, with the third daily flight launching on May 7, 2025. This significant upgrade marks Riyadh as the first destination in the Middle East/GCC region to receive this exclusive service, showcasing Emirates’ commitment to improving passenger experiences.
The retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft will operate on flights EK815 and EK816, with an additional service (EK817 and EK818) commencing later in the year. Following a successful introduction of the refurbished aircraft in October 2024, Emirates is expanding its premium offerings to meet growing customer demand.
Enhanced Cabin Features on the Retrofits
The retrofitted Boeing 777 features substantial upgrades across all cabin classes, ensuring a more comfortable journey:
- Premium Economy: Designed with a spacious 2-4-2 configuration, offering enhanced comfort and more legroom.
- Business Class: Reconfigured to a 1-2-1 layout with direct aisle access, providing greater privacy and convenience.
- First Class: Newly designed suites that redefine luxury travel.
- Economy Class: Refreshed cabins that enhance overall passenger experience.
These upgrades reflect Emirates’ commitment to delivering high-quality service and comfort to its passengers.
Premium Ground Services in Riyadh
In addition to aircraft enhancements, Emirates has also launched exclusive Chauffeur-Drive Services in Riyadh for First and Business Class passengers. This premium transportation option makes Riyadh the only regional destination with such a service, solidifying Emirates’ status as the sole airline offering this luxury in the Saudi capital. The airline currently operates 72 weekly flights to four destinations in Saudi Arabia using a mixed fleet of Boeing 777s and Airbus A380s.
Emirates Continues Global Fleet Modernization
The enhancements to the Riyadh route are part of a broader fleet modernization strategy by Emirates. The airline is investing $5 billion to retrofit 120 aircraft with Premium Economy cabins and other interior improvements. Additionally, the introduction of new A350 aircraft will further modernize the fleet, with the first delivery expected in Q1 2025.
Conclusion
Emirates’ commitment to providing top-tier services is evident in its recent upgrades and expansions. With the retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft and premium ground services, passengers traveling to Riyadh can expect an unparalleled travel experience.
