Singapore Airlines and American Express Launch Enhanced Business Credit Card for SMEs

SINGAPORE – Singapore Airlines (SQ) and American Express have unveiled significant upgrades to their joint Business Credit Card, specifically designed to cater to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This revamped card, effective from April 23, 2025, promises improved travel rewards and redemption options that will provide greater value for business owners’ travel expenditures.

HighFlyer Points Conversion to KrisFlyer Miles

One of the standout features of the enhanced American Express Singapore Airlines Business Credit Card is the increased limit for converting HighFlyer points into KrisFlyer miles. Card members can now convert up to 150,000 HighFlyer points to KrisFlyer miles at a 1:1 ratio. • New businesses joining the HighFlyer program will receive 10,000 HighFlyer points after booking their first flight through the Singapore Airlines HighFlyer portal.
  • Corporate travelers can achieve accelerated KrisFlyer Elite Gold status with a minimum spend of S$15,000 on eligible Singapore Airlines and Scoot flights in their first year of card membership.
  • Members earn an additional 6,000 HighFlyer points upon paying their annual renewal fee.

Enhanced Reward Structure

The newly enhanced American Express card offers an impressive earning rate of up to 8 HighFlyer points per S$1 spent on Singapore Airlines and Scoot flights. This is broken down as follows:

  • 1 bonus HighFlyer point for every S$1 spent on qualifying Singapore Airlines and Scoot flights.
  • A base earning of 5 HighFlyer points for HighFlyer members purchasing eligible flight tickets.
  • For all other eligible spending, card members will earn 1.2 HighFlyer points per S$1 spent.
