Air India Express Expands Operations at Manohar International Airport in Goa
Air India Express is set to enhance connectivity in Goa with its recent expansion into Manohar International Airport (GOX). This strategic move complements the airline’s existing services at Goa International Airport (GOI) and marks a significant boost in the region’s travel options. With over 115 weekly flights now operating from Goa, including 75 from GOI and more than 40 from GOX, travelers can easily access North Goa’s stunning beaches and vibrant attractions.
Air India Express Goa Flights: New Routes Announced
Starting April 15, 2025, Air India Express will introduce several new domestic routes from North Goa, including flights to major cities such as Bengaluru (BLR), Chennai (MAA), Delhi (DEL), and Indore (IDR). The schedule includes:
- Twice-daily flights to Delhi
- Daily services to Bengaluru and Indore
- Six weekly flights to Chennai
In addition to these domestic connections, Air India Express will launch international flights to Kuwait (KWI) and Abu Dhabi (AUH) in May 2025. This dual-airport strategy not only enhances Air India Express’s footprint in Goa but also provides tourists with greater flexibility when exploring this beautiful coastal state.

To celebrate the launch of operations from North Goa, a special event was held at Manohar International Airport. Key executives from Air India Express, including Chief Marketing Officer Siddhartha Butalia and Vice President of Network Planning Shashi Chetia, attended the event alongside Anand Ramachandran, Deputy CEO of the airport. The inaugural flight was marked by a ceremonial boarding pass presentation to the first passenger, highlighting the significance of this expansion.

Air India Express has shown remarkable growth in recent years, doubling its capacity in just two years and now operating over 500 daily flights to 55 destinations. From Goa International Airport, the airline connects to eight domestic destinations and offers international services to Dubai. This extensive network allows passengers to reach 22 additional domestic and eight international locations through convenient one-stop itineraries.

- Indore (MOPA, North Goa): Daily

Effective May 3, 2025 (All timings are local):
- Hyderabad (MOPA, North Goa): Saturdays
- Kuwait (MOPA, North Goa): Saturdays
Effective May 5, 2025 (All timings are local):
- Abu Dhabi (MOPA, North Goa): Mondays and Tuesdays
