Cathay Pacific Launches Non-Stop Flights from Hong Kong to Dallas-Fort Worth
HONG KONG – Cathay Pacific (CX) has officially inaugurated non-stop passenger flights connecting Hong Kong (HKG) to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), marking a significant expansion in its network. This new route, which commenced on April 24, 2025, is part of Cathay’s broader strategy to enhance global connectivity and provide travelers with convenient access to exciting destinations.
This milestone represents the sixth new passenger destination added by Cathay Pacific this year, with a total of 15 new locations announced for 2025 and even more in the pipeline. The introduction of this route underscores Cathay Pacific’s commitment to establishing Hong Kong as a premier global travel hub.
Cathay Launch Ceremony
The launch ceremony took place at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG), featuring key figures such as Cathay’s Director of Customer Travel, Erica Peng, and Steven Yiu Siu-chung, Executive Director of Airport Operations at the Airport Authority Hong Kong.
Lavinia Lau, Cathay’s Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, emphasized the importance of this new service, stating, “The launch of our direct flights between Hong Kong and Dallas for the very first time demonstrates our commitment to providing our customers with convenient access to the most exciting destinations around the world from our Hong Kong hub.” She further noted that the airline is on track to surpass 100 destinations in its network within the first half of this year.
Enhanced Connectivity
The new route not only strengthens connections between Asia and North America but also creates valuable travel opportunities beyond Dallas. “With our Cathay Pacific codeshares and other flight options, customers can connect to domestic destinations across the United States as well as various locations in Central and South America via Dallas Fort Worth International Airport,” Lau explained.
This expansion aims to attract travelers from Dallas (DFW) and throughout the Americas to explore Hong Kong (HKG) or connect to numerous destinations across Asia and beyond through Cathay’s extensive network.

Cathay Pacific will operate four weekly round-trip flights between Hong Kong (HKG) and Dallas (DFW) using Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, which offer three cabin classes: Business, Premium Economy, and Economy. Here are the flight details (all times local):

This new passenger service complements Cathay Cargo’s existing freighter operations to Dallas via Anchorage (ANC). During the summer season, Cathay Cargo plans approximately 40 weekly round-trip freighter flights to North America, reinforcing its commitment to serving both passenger and cargo markets in the region.
Cathay Routes for 2025
As part of its ambitious growth strategy, Cathay Pacific will operate over 110 weekly round-trip flights to eight North American destinations during the peak summer season, including Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Dallas (DFW), Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO), Toronto (YYZ), and Vancouver (YVR).
