Wizz Air Announces New London-Medina Route for 2025
Wizz Air has announced its first direct flight from London Gatwick Airport (LGW) to Medina, Saudi Arabia, starting August 1, 2025. This route marks a significant expansion for the airline, which aims to enhance connectivity in the Middle East and support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 tourism initiative. The new service will utilize the Airbus A321XLR and is expected to offer over 174,000 seats annually, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors to Medina, a key religious tourism destination. Additionally, Wizz Air will also begin daily flights to Jeddah on March 31, 2025.
Eva Air Launches New Taipei-Dallas Flights
EVA Air will launch new flights to Dallas (DFW), Texas, starting November 3, 2024, as part of its expansion strategy to meet rising passenger demand in the Asia-Pacific region. This route marks EVA Air’s ninth destination in North America, with five weekly flights planned. The airline has seen an 8.4% increase in passenger revenue and aims to accommodate ongoing growth in travel. The Dallas route will support business travelers and enhance connections to Central and South America. EVA Air is also expanding its fleet, adding six new Boeing 787s in early 2024, with plans for further aircraft deliveries.
