STARLUX Collaborates with American Airlines for Upcoming Phoenix Routes
TAIPEI- STARLUX Airlines (JX) has unveiled a new interline partnership with American Airlines (AA), which enhances travel connectivity between Taipei (TPE) and numerous North American cities. This collaboration follows STARLUX’s recent introduction of nonstop flights between Phoenix (PHX) and Taipei, reinforcing its presence across the Pacific.
The new agreement enables passengers to book single ticket itineraries and check their luggage all the way to their final destinations. This links American’s extensive network across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico with STARLUX’s Asian routes. Travelers now have convenient connections to Taipei from key American Airlines hubs such as New York (JFK), Philadelphia (PHL), Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Charlotte (CLT), Miami (MIA), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), and Mexico City (MEX).

STARLUX and American Airlines Collaboration
This interline partnership is designed to simplify the travel experience for both airlines’ customers. With a single booking, travelers can easily fly with American to major hubs and then seamlessly transition to STARLUX flights headed to Taipei and beyond.
Baggage will be tagged for the entire journey, eliminating the hassle of rechecking during layovers.
American Airlines customers will gain access to STARLUX’s expanding Asian network, which covers popular destinations in Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines.
Conversely, STARLUX passengers will benefit from American’s vast North American network, which features over 250 destinations for both business and leisure travel.
Executives from both airlines have underscored the strategic advantages. STARLUX CEO Glenn Chai mentioned that this partnership significantly enhances the airline’s presence in the U.S., while Anmol Bhargava, Senior Vice President of Alliances at American, highlighted the convenience it brings to travelers between Taipei and North America.
