Ex-British Airways Pilot Requests Parole in Wife’s Murder Case
LONDON- British Airways (BA) pilot Robert Brown is preparing for a parole hearing in hopes of being released from prison. Brown, who is serving time for the tragic murder of his estranged wife, Joanna Simpson, near London Heathrow (LHR), will be evaluated by specialists in January 2026.
Originally, Brown was set to be released in November 2023 after completing half of his sentence. This sparked outrage among the public, prompting government action. The Parole Board has now confirmed a two-day oral hearing to reassess his potential risk to the community.
