Riyadh Air and Red Sea Global Forge Exciting Marketing Collaboration

Two leading emerging brands in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh Air and resort developer Red Sea Global (RSG), are joining forces under the framework of the kingdom’s Vision 2030 initiative. They recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing their marketing strategies.

The MoU was officially signed at the newly inaugurated Red Sea International Airport (RSI) on August 28, 2025, by both companies’ CEOs: Tony Douglas from Riyadh Air and John Pagano from Red Sea Global.

Under the terms of this partnership, the two companies will collaborate on brand and marketing campaigns designed to establish themselves as the top choices for premium travelers visiting Saudi Arabia.

Riyadh Air passengers will benefit from exclusive offers and packages at the luxurious regenerative resorts that Red Sea Global is currently developing on various islands off the western coast of Saudi Arabia.

While the airline has not yet announced its initial route network, the MoU indicates that it will facilitate international connections for guests visiting Red Sea Global’s resorts, likely including routes to Red Sea International Airport (RSI).

The airport, which opened to regular operations in 2023, has already welcomed flights from carriers like Saudia, flydubai, and flynas. Although still finalizing its development, airport managers shared earlier in 2025 that RSI is expected to handle up to one million international passengers annually once fully operational.

Managed by Ireland’s Dublin Airport Authority (daa), Red Sea International Airport has been constructed to serve as the gateway to numerous luxury resorts in the Red Sea Global region. This includes properties managed directly by RSG and several luxury hotel brands, such as Six Senses, St. Regis, and Ritz-Carlton.

Red Sea Global emphasizes its commitment to “regenerative tourism,” which underscores its investments in restoring environmental habitats within the areas it oversees.

In addition to this marketing collaboration, Riyadh Air and Red Sea Global have also expressed intentions to extend their partnership to other activities and services in the near future.

As these brands evolve, how do you envision their impact on Saudi Arabia’s tourism landscape?
