Air Serbia Introduces Exciting New Route to Toronto
On October 13, 2025, Air Serbia announced an exciting new long-haul route connecting Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG) and Toronto-Pearson (YYZ). This addition marks a significant expansion in the airline’s offerings.
The seasonal service will operate during the spring and summer months, with the inaugural flight planned for May 23, 2026. Ticket sales are set to commence on October 16, 2025. Flights will be available every Wednesday and Saturday, utilizing an Airbus A330-200 for the journey.
This new service can be seen as a revival of a historic route, as Yugoslavian national carrier JAT previously operated flights between Belgrade and Toronto. That service ended in May 1992, precisely 32 years before Air Serbia’s new launch.
Uniquely, Air Serbia will be the sole operator on this route, enhancing its competitive edge.
The Serbian flag carrier boasts four leased Airbus A330-200 aircraft in its fleet. Each of these planes features a two-class configuration, accommodating 257 passengers: 21 in Business Class and 236 in Economy Class.
With this new service, Toronto will join New York-JFK and Chicago O’Hare as Air Serbia’s third North American destination. The airline also maintains flights to two long-haul destinations in China: Shanghai-Pudong (PVG) and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN).
