IndiGo Launches New Flights from Mumbai to a Revered Islamic City
MUMBAI- IndiGo Airlines (6E) has introduced daily direct flights from Mumbai (BOM) to Madinah (MED), beginning on 15 November 2025. This new route will be serviced by Airbus A320 aircraft, enhancing travel options for religious, business, and leisure passengers between India and Saudi Arabia.
This new service builds on IndiGo’s growing network in the Middle East, establishing it as the sole Indian airline providing direct flights between Mumbai and the sacred city of Madinah. Travelers can now book their flights through IndiGo’s website, mobile app, or through authorized travel agents.

IndiGo Airlines Mumbai to Madinah
IndiGo currently operates more than 150 weekly flights connecting India to Saudi Arabia, including key destinations like Jeddah (JED), Riyadh (RUH), Dammam (DMM), and now Madinah (MED).
This new Mumbai-Madinah service is the airline’s second flight path to the city, complementing its existing Hyderabad (HYD)-Madinah route. This connection will also shift to a daily service starting 16 November 2025.
According to IndiGo’s Head of Sales, Vinay Malhotra, this new route addresses the surging demand for travel to Madinah, a city rich in spiritual significance. The increased movement stems from both religious tourism and workforce needs, prompting the airline to enhance its offerings to this key Saudi destination.

- Mumbai–Madinah (6E 0059): Daily departure from Mumbai (BOM) at 22:05, arriving in Madinah (MED) at 01:10 (+1)
- Madinah–Mumbai (6E 0060): Daily departure from Madinah (MED) at 21:50, arriving in Mumbai (BOM) at 04:45 (+1)

This schedule allows passengers to easily connect with IndiGo’s extensive network, facilitating further travel options from Mumbai and beyond.
