Wizz Air Launches ‘Wizz Class’ for Enhanced Passenger Comfort
Wizz Air is preparing to introduce a new seating product later this year aimed at enhancing the flying experience for passengers seeking more comfort.
Overview of Wizz Air’s New Initiative
On October 10, 2025, the ultra-low-cost airline hosted a press conference in London to outline its strategies six months after launching the customer-focused initiative known as the “Customer First Compass.”
Chief Commercial Officer Michael Delehant shared exciting plans for the future, including the introduction of “Wizz Class.” This new product aims to offer travelers a balance between affordability and additional comfort.
Details of the New Seating Trial
While specific features are still under development, Wizz Air confirmed that a trial will begin in December 2025. The trial will involve blocking the middle seat in select rows to evaluate whether this approach could be offered on a broader scale.
Delehant remarked that while Wizz Air typically focuses on maximizing seat density, there has been strong demand from business travelers for a bit more legroom and space to work while traveling. He indicated that the airline isn’t looking to completely change its seating arrangement.
Aimed at Comfort-Driven Travelers
Many passengers are looking for a more comfortable travel option without the prices associated with first or business class, seeking a bit of extra space and efficiency instead. Wizz Air emphasized that the middle seat won’t be blocked on every flight but will be implemented based on demand.
The trial for this innovative seating product is set to take place in December 2025.
Stay tuned for more updates from the press event tomorrow.
