flyadeal Set to Launch Operations in India by Early 2026

**Saudi Arabia’s Ambitious Expansion Plans**

Saudi Arabia’s low-cost airline, flyadeal, is set to embark on a significant international expansion, with plans to begin operations in India by the first quarter of 2026.

**Connecting Key Destinations**

Based in Jeddah, flyadeal aims to penetrate the Indian market by linking major cities along with rapidly emerging secondary locations. The airline’s first route is expected to be to Mumbai. Operating from hubs in Jeddah (JED), Riyadh (RUH), and Dammam (DMM), flyadeal strives to serve up to six Indian cities by the end of 2026.

**Focusing on Religious Travel**

In addition to catering to commercial air traffic, the airline plans to meet the increasing demand for religious travel. Services for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims will be a key focus, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s efforts to boost tourism and pilgrimage capacity as part of Vision 2030.

**Strategic Partnerships**

Flyadeal is also considering collaborations with an Indian airline. This partnership would enable travelers to book single tickets for multiple destinations within India, enhancing convenience for leisure and religious passengers seeking fast connections.

**Modern Fleet Expansion**

Currently, flyadeal operates one of the youngest fleets in the region, which includes 11 A320-200s and 32 A320neos. By the end of 2025, the fleet is projected to grow to 46 aircraft. Moreover, the airline is preparing to introduce its first wide-body aircraft, with 10 Airbus A330-900neos expected to join the fleet beginning mid-2027.
