Fake Websites Target United Airlines Flight Attendants’ Salaries
United Airlines is alerting its flight attendants about a rising cyber threat, as cybercriminals increasingly target employees with fraudulent websites aimed at stealing login credentials and redirecting paychecks. These counterfeit sites closely mimic official portals, making detection difficult. The Association of Flight Attendants (AFA-CWA) is warning members to safeguard their financial information, especially concerning Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA). To combat these threats, United has implemented two-factor authentication (2FA), while the AFA-CWA advises employees to verify URLs, use bookmarked links, and report any suspicious activity.
