Qatar Airways Partners with Collins for Enhanced Boeing 787 Efficiency
Qatar Airways has entered into a collaboration with Collins Aerospace at the Dubai Airshow 2025. This partnership aims to enhance the operational efficiency of its Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet.
On November 17, 2025, Collins, a division of RTX, announced that Qatar Airways would implement its Ascentia analytics solution. This decision is geared towards streamlining fleet maintenance, improving reliability, reducing costs, and providing a more enjoyable travel experience for passengers.
Ascentia leverages data collected from aircraft sensors to assess real-time information in conjunction with historical fleet records. This enables the generation of predictive insights regarding component health and overall performance.
“By utilizing these data elements, airlines can decrease unscheduled maintenance incidents, minimize aircraft downtime, and enhance on-time performance,” a representative from Collins Aerospace explained.

“What differentiates the Collins Ascentia solution is our position as the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), which enables us to provide accurate, real-time recommendations that reduce flight disruptions and enhance the reliability of air travel,” stated Nicole White, Vice President and General Manager of Connected Aviation at Collins Aerospace.
Ascentia is crafted to help airlines effectively schedule aircraft downtime, optimize resource allocation, and enhance spare parts provisioning. This results in diminished costs and heightened operational efficiency.
“Airlines globally depend on Collins components for their Boeing 787 fleets. With Ascentia analytics supporting nearly 40% of the active 787s today, we offer distinct insights, seamless system integration, and solid technical support to help airlines continuously monitor, analyze, and respond to essential operational data, promoting efficiency and performance,” added White.
