Introducing the World’s Fastest Business Jet: Service Now Live
MONTREAL – Bombardier Global 8000 Launch
Bombardier proudly announces the introduction of the Global 8000, marking it as the fastest civil aircraft since the Concorde, capable of reaching speeds up to Mach 0.95. The first delivery was made to Patrick Dovigi at the Aircraft Assembly Centre in Mississauga.
With an impressive range of 8,000 nautical miles, this jet sets a new industry standard, featuring a cabin altitude of 2,691 feet at a cruising altitude of 41,000 feet. Transport Canada has granted type certification, while the FAA and EASA certifications are also being pursued.

Grand Ceremony for the Global 8000
The ceremony took place at Bombardier’s cutting-edge Aircraft Assembly Centre in Mississauga, attended by hundreds, including employees, officials, suppliers, and media. Patrick Dovigi, a long-time customer, received the keys to the first Global 8000, upgrading from his previous Global 7500.
Canadian musician Tom Cochrane performed to celebrate the launch of this revolutionary aircraft. Éric Martel, Bombardier’s President and CEO, expressed the immense pride felt by the 18,000 employees involved in this project.
“Every aspect of the Global 8000 embodies the hard work and creativity of our teams. This aircraft is redefining business aviation with its innovative design and unmatched performance,” Martel stated.
Stephen McCullough, Senior Vice President of Engineering and Product Development, described this moment as historic for the company.
“Today marks a significant achievement, highlighting the dedication of our employees and suppliers who have collectively set a new standard for speed, range, and cabin comfort in the industry.”

Milestones and Certifications for the G8000
Earlier this year, the Global 8000 completed its flight test program, achieving speeds of Mach 0.95 and officially becoming the fastest civil aircraft since Concorde. In November, Transport Canada granted the necessary type certification, meeting all stakeholder expectations. FAA and EASA certifications are still pending.
Notably, the aircraft has surpassed its original cabin altitude ambitions, allowing a cabin altitude of 2,691 feet, setting a benchmark in business aviation.
Passengers experience significantly reduced physiological impacts from high-altitude travel, akin to standing atop the Burj Khalifa.

Remarkable Performance and Increased Accessibility
The Global 8000 is distinguished as a true four-zone business jet with a range of 8,000 nautical miles, facilitating non-stop travel between a greater number of city pairs.
Enhanced wing design equipped with leading-edge slats allows for takeoff and landing characteristics comparable to lighter jets. This innovative aircraft presents access to 30% more airports than its nearest competitor, providing over 2,000 additional destinations.
Flying faster and longer than any comparable ultra-long-range four-zone jet, the Global 8000 serves as the ultimate office or residence in the sky.

Unmatched Comfort and Wellness in the Cabin
The Global 8000 features four genuine living areas along with a separate crew rest section, providing the longest seated length in its class. It aims to deliver the healthiest cabin environment in the industry.
Bombardier’s Pũr Air system includes HEPA filtration capable of removing VOCs, while the Soleil circadian lighting system actively mitigates jet lag and boosts overall wellbeing.
These elements, coupled with a record-low cabin altitude, create a new benchmark for passenger comfort. Travelers can expect to arrive refreshed and ready to engage.
McCullough emphasizes the importance of passenger experiences during ultra-long-range travel. “The ultimate comfort is akin to being at home—our focus on elevating the travel experience is paramount for long-distance flights.”
The synergy between the reduced cabin altitude and the Pũr Air system results in superior physical comfort during lengthy travels.

Global 8000 Specifications and Company Leadership
Bombardier plans for the Global 8000 to enter service in 2025. McCullough highlights a strong partnership with Transport Canada, noting the rigorous efforts put into the certification process.
“This achievement is pivotal for Bombardier and the entire business aviation sector, establishing the Global 8000 as the top-tier choice in its class,” he remarked.
The aircraft stands out as the ideal option for discerning owners and operators who value speed, comfort, convenience, and productivity.
