STARLUX Airlines Launches Daily A321neo Flights from Taipei to Manila

STARLUX Airlines has reestablished its daily nonstop flights between Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) and Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) as of December 16, 2025.

This reinstatement is a significant expansion for the airline’s Southeast Asian network, reflecting the strengthened economic connections between Taiwan and the Philippines.

The airline is utilizing its Airbus A321neo aircraft for this route, with flights departing from Taipei in the mornings and returning from Manila in the afternoons. With this service, STARLUX now offers a total of 23 weekly flights to the Philippines, which also includes routes to Cebu International Airport (CEB) and Clark International Airport (CRK).

Strengthening Connections

The timing of this route’s return is ideal, as connections between the two nations are on the rise. Currently, over 160,000 Filipino workers are employed in Taiwan, and the Philippines is among Taiwan’s top 20 trading partners. Both nations have implemented a 14-day visa-free travel policy for each other’s citizens, which boosts business and tourism activities.

“The resumption of our Manila service represents a crucial step in enhancing STARLUX Airlines’ Southeast Asia network,” stated STARLUX CEO Glenn Chai. “This route not only caters to business and leisure travelers but also provides more network flexibility, complementing services to Cebu and Clark. This gives passengers greater convenience for multi-city travel. STARLUX is committed to expanding its network to further facilitate economic, cultural, and tourism exchanges between Taiwan and the Philippines,” Chai added.

Given Manila’s status as a key aviation hub in Southeast Asia, it serves as a strategic addition to STARLUX’s operational map. Currently, the airline operates 30 routes within Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, Hong Kong, Macau, and North America, utilizing an all-Airbus fleet.
