Air India has announced an extensive expansion across several international routes from Delhi, set to improve connectivity and provide passengers with more travel options. The following routes will see increased flight frequencies:
Delhi-Nairobi (Kenya)
- Current Frequency: 3 flights per week
- New Frequency: 4 flights per week
- Effective Date: April 1, 2025
This vital route links Delhi with East Africa, facilitating business and tourism. Nairobi serves as a gateway to popular safari destinations and is a key trade hub, making this route increasingly appealing. Air India is the only airline operating on this sector, utilizing the Boeing 787-8.
Delhi-Seoul (South Korea)
- Current Frequency: 4 flights per week
- New Frequency: 5 flights per week
- Effective Date: April 1, 2025
South Korea has become a significant market for both business and leisure travelers. The increase in flight frequency reflects growing trade relations and cultural exchanges between India and South Korea. Air India competes with Korean Air, which operates 3 weekly flights using the Boeing 787-9. Delhi remains the sole Indian city with direct flights to Seoul.
