Emirates and Garuda Indonesia are enhancing their travel offerings by expanding their codeshare partnership to include a reciprocal loyalty agreement. This new initiative allows members of Emirates Skywards and GarudaMiles to earn and redeem miles when flying with either airline, significantly enriching the travel experience for frequent flyers.

The agreement was officially signed at the Aviation Festival Asia 2025 in Singapore by key executives from both airlines, marking a significant step in creating a more interconnected loyalty program for travelers.

This strategic collaboration aims to provide a seamless global loyalty experience for members. Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized that this initiative will unlock new opportunities for frequent flyers, allowing them to earn and redeem miles across an expanded network.

  • Earning Miles:

    • Earn up to 1 Skywards Mile per mile flown in Economy Class.
    • Earn 1.25 Skywards Miles per mile flown in Business Class.
    • Earn 2 Skywards Miles per mile flown in First Class.
  • Redeeming Miles:

    • Members can redeem miles for travel on Garuda Indonesia flights starting at 8,000 Miles for Economy Class and Business Class.
  • Expanded Destinations:
    • Skywards members can earn and redeem miles while traveling to 37 destinations across Indonesia and more than 15 international destinations.
    • GarudaMiles members can enjoy Emirates’ extensive global network, including access to major international cities.
