United Airlines Expands Asia-Pacific Flights to Meet Growing Travel Demand

United Airlines is set to enhance its presence in the Asia-Pacific region with the launch of new flights to popular destinations including Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, and the Philippines. This strategic expansion aims to provide travelers from North America with easier access to these sought-after locations, catering to the increasing demand for international travel.

New Routes and Flight Details

Starting October 26, 2025, United Airlines will introduce daily flights to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK), making it the only US carrier to offer this route. These flights will be operated using the airline’s state-of-the-art Boeing B787-9 Dreamliners, ensuring a comfortable travel experience.

Additionally, United will launch a new route to Adelaide Airport (ADL). From December 11, 2025, the airline will provide seasonal direct flights from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) to Adelaide, operating three times a week. This makes United the only airline to offer nonstop service between the US and Adelaide, complementing existing routes to Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

Expanding Connections to Vietnam

On October 11, 2025, United will also commence daily flights to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), further strengthening its position in the Asia-Pacific market. In 2024, Vietnam welcomed around 780,000 visitors from the US, indicating a robust demand for travel to the region.

Enhanced Services to the Philippines

United Airlines is also enhancing its flights to the Philippines by adding a second daily flight between San Francisco International Airport and Manila International Airport (MNL). This new schedule will provide travelers with the flexibility to choose morning or evening departures. The 2022 census highlighted a significant Filipino-American population of nearly 4.5 million in the US, with California and Hawaii having the highest concentrations.
