HANGZHOU— Emirates Airline has recently inaugurated a daily route to Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport (HGH), marking a significant expansion in its Asia-focused growth strategy. This new route makes Hangzhou the fifth destination for Emirates in mainland China.
Flight EK310 departed from Dubai International Airport (DXB) and arrived in Hangzhou on July 30. This announcement follows closely after the launch of another Chinese destination, Shenzhen (SZX), just weeks earlier.

The launch flight EK310 was marked by a warm welcome from local officials, media, and dignitaries, celebrating the new link. This route is serviced by a Boeing 777-300ER, featuring 8 First Class suites, 42 Business Class seats, and 304 Economy Class seats. EK310 leaves Dubai daily at 09:40 and reaches Hangzhou by 22:00. The return flight, EK311, departs Hangzhou at 00:10 and arrives in Dubai at 04:55.

Additionally, members of Emirates’ senior management and international media were present on this maiden journey.

Enhanced Cargo Services for Hangzhou
This new route offers up to 16 tonnes of cargo capacity per flight, facilitating the transport of e-commerce goods, pharmaceuticals, smart devices, and other time-sensitive items. Hangzhou, known for its role in cross-border digital commerce, benefits significantly from Emirates SkyCargo’s vast global network.
This enhanced connectivity aids in bolstering logistics in China, especially within the Yangtze River Delta, thereby improving transit times and delivery efficiency for Chinese exporters.

Luxury Travel Experience and Local Services
To enhance the travel experience, Emirates has rolled out a complimentary chauffeur service in Hangzhou for First and Business Class travelers. Passengers can enjoy private transfers in top-tier Mercedes-Benz E-Class vehicles within an 80-kilometre radius of HGH Airport, mirroring services offered in over 70 locations worldwide, including cities like Beijing and London.
In-flight, Emirates features its award-winning ice entertainment system, boasting over 6,500 channels, including Mandarin options. The culinary experience is equally appealing, with regional flavors and Chinese dishes tailored to meet the preferences of passengers.

Fostering Cultural and Bilateral Connections
This new route reflects Emirates’ dedication to the growth of aviation and tourism in China. The airline’s collaboration with the UAE China Cultural Centre aims to highlight China as a preferred travel destination across Emirates’ extensive network.
Additionally, the visa-free entry policy for UAE and GCC nationals for up to 30 days further enhances the attractiveness of the route for both business and leisure travelers, facilitating cultural exchange and collaboration between China and the Middle East.
