Qatar Airways Expands Winter Routes with 94 New Weekly Flights Across 16 Destinations

Qatar Airways is set to expand its winter schedule significantly by adding 94 additional weekly flights. This boost will benefit 16 various destinations worldwide, responding to a surge in travel demand.

On July 30, 2025, the Qatari airline confirmed that the increase aims to accommodate the rising interest from global travelers. A notable enhancement is on the London-Heathrow route, where the airline will offer two extra daily flights from Hamad International Airport, elevating the total from eight to ten flights daily.

Qatar Airways stated that these expanded Heathrow services will work alongside British Airways’ double daily flights.

Increasing services to the UAE, flights to Abu Dhabi will rise from five to six per day, while those to Sharjah will grow from three to seven daily flights.

According to Thierry Antinori, Chief Commercial Officer of Qatar Airways, “We are consistently experiencing a significant rise in demand for our five-star services to major destinations, especially London, Dublin, Cape Town, and São Paulo.” He also mentioned that this winter, Qatar Airways will collaborate with Virgin Australia to introduce flights from Melbourne to Doha, ramping up capacity to three daily flights between these locations. Additionally, the airline plans to resume services to Canberra, further enhancing connectivity between Australia and the rest of the world.

Here is the complete list of additional Qatar Airways flights scheduled for this winter:

  • Abu Dhabi – increased from five daily flights to up to six
  • Berlin – increased from 18 weekly flights to up to 21
  • Cape Town – increased from 10 weekly flights to up to 12
  • Casablanca – increased from four weekly flights to five
  • Dublin – increased from 14 weekly flights to 17
  • Frankfurt – increased from 18 weekly flights to up to 21
  • Johannesburg – increased from 14 weekly flights to 18
  • London Heathrow – increased from eight daily flights to up to 10
  • Madrid – increased from 14 weekly flights to 17
  • Maldives – increased from three daily flights to up to four
  • Manchester – increased from 21 weekly flights to up to 24
  • Phuket – increased from three daily flights to up to four
  • São Paulo – increased from 14 weekly flights to 18
  • Sharjah – increased from three daily flights to up to seven
  • Tokyo Narita – increased from 11 weekly flights to up to 14
  • Toronto – increased from five weekly flights to seven

Antinori noted that this flight frequency increase reflects their commitment to continually enhancing passenger experiences at Hamad International Airport, recognized as the Best Airport in the Middle East.
