Air India Express Expands International Reach with 3 New Routes from Bengaluru
BENGALURU- Air India Express (IX) is set to introduce new direct flights connecting Bengaluru to three prominent destinations in the Middle East: Jeddah (JED), Riyadh (RUH), and Kuwait (KWI).
These services will start on October 26, 2025, with flights to Jeddah, followed by Riyadh and Kuwait from October 27. This expansion elevates Air India Express’ international network from Bengaluru to seven destinations, establishing the city as the airline’s fastest-growing hub.


Air India Express Introduces New International Routes from Bengaluru
The Bengaluru–Jeddah flights will be available three times a week—on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Departing at 17:45, these flights reach Jeddah by 21:30.
Return flights from Jeddah to Bengaluru will depart at 22:30 and land by 06:40 the following morning.
For Riyadh, flights operate thrice weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. They leave at 21:00, landing at 00:20, with the return leg set for 01:20, arriving in Bengaluru at 08:55.
Flights to Kuwait will run on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with return services on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
This new route is poised to assist various passengers, including those traveling for the Umrah pilgrimage through Jeddah and professionals based in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
Additionally, it caters to the increasing interest among Indian travelers looking to explore Saudi Arabia’s rich cultural and heritage offerings.
Previously, the airline expanded services to cities like Kathmandu, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, and Dehradun. Upcoming destinations include Bangkok (BKK), launching October 18, along with Jodhpur (JDH) and Udaipur (UDR) starting November 1.


Exciting Inaugural Fares
This expansion is part of Air India Express’ continued growth from Bengaluru, where it currently offers over 440 weekly flights.
Now, the airline connects Bengaluru to a total of 35 domestic and seven international destinations, highlighting its increasing significance as a key aviation gateway in South India.
In celebration of the launch, Air India Express is providing special introductory rates. Fares from Bengaluru to Riyadh start at ₹13,500 (505 SAR from Riyadh), while Bengaluru to Jeddah starts at ₹19,500 (570 SAR from Jeddah). For Kuwait, prices begin at ₹13,600 (27 KWD from Kuwait).
Bookings can be made via the airline’s website airindiaexpress.com, its mobile application, and several major travel booking platforms. The airline anticipates high demand from expatriates, business travelers, and families visiting the region.
