American Airlines is enhancing air travel with new business class suites featuring private doors on its Boeing 787-9 aircraft, starting on routes from Chicago O’Hare to London Heathrow. Following domestic trials, these suites will also be added to the Philadelphia route. Additionally, a major retrofitting project, “Project Olympus,” will transform 20 Boeing 777-300ERs by increasing premium seating from 84 to 114, while eliminating first-class seats. The updated layout will feature 70 business class, 44 premium economy, and 216 standard economy seats, effective April 2025.
