LOT Polish Airlines Launches New San Francisco Route in May 2026

LOT Polish Airlines is set to enhance its North American operations by introducing a new flight route connecting Warsaw and San Francisco in May 2026. According to the airline, the United States remains a crucial long-haul market, showing promising potential for both business and leisure travel.

The inaugural flight for the Warsaw-San Francisco route will take off on May 6, 2026. LOT will run four weekly services during the summer of that year, with flights departing from Warsaw on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Flight LO035 will leave Warsaw (WAW) for San Francisco (SFO) on Thursdays and Sundays at 11:15 AM. Meanwhile, flight LO037 is scheduled to depart on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 5:40 PM. Passengers returning to Warsaw will do so on the same days, boarding flights LO036 at 3:50 PM and LO038 at 10:10 PM.

This 5,867-mile (9,387 km) journey is expected to take approximately 11 hours and 30 minutes heading west, while the return trip will be about an hour shorter. All flights will use LOT’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet, which includes eight 787-8s and seven 787-9s, accommodating 252 and 294 passengers, respectively.

Transatlantic routes hold strategic significance for LOT Polish Airlines. In the last year, around 800,000 passengers traveled on all flights between Poland and the United States. The new route aims not only to connect Europe with a major hub for technology and innovation but also to create new opportunities for business travelers and tourists alike.

San Francisco, along with the nearby Silicon Valley, is known as a breeding ground for many global brands and attracts entrepreneurs and investors from all over the world. Robert Ludera, a representative from LOT Polish Airlines, noted this city’s unique blend of charm, culture, and history.
