Qatar Boosts Saudi Connectivity with New Hail Route and Extra Jeddah, Riyadh Flights

Qatar Airways is preparing to enhance its operations in Saudi Arabia by launching new flights to Hail, Jeddah, and Riyadh. This exciting announcement was made on November 11, 2025, at the TOURISE Global Tourism Summit 2025 held in Riyadh.

Beginning January 5, 2026, Qatar Airways will operate three weekly flights to Hail International Airport (HAS). The airline will also increase its frequency to King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) and King Khalid International Airport (RUH) from six to seven flights each day.

Flights to Hail International Airport will be scheduled every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday. Flight QR1228 will depart Doha at 14:20, arriving in Hail at 16:30. The return flight, QR1229, will leave Hail at 17:30, landing back in Doha at 19:25.

Qatar Airways Group CEO Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer noted, “Our network now spans every major region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and over the past 12 months, we have connected nearly 2.5 million passengers to our global network.”

With this new service to Hail, Qatar Airways will offer flights to 13 destinations in Saudi Arabia, boasting more than 150 weekly flights. Travelers in Saudi Arabia will have convenient access to over 170 global destinations through Hamad International Airport (DOH).

This development reflects a strong year for Qatar Airways in Saudi Arabia, which has already seen the resumption of flights to Abha International Airport (AHB) as of January 2025 and the introduction of three weekly non-stop flights to The Red Sea in October 2025. This positions the airline as the first international carrier to connect The Red Sea with over 170 global destinations.
