Avia Solutions Group Launches Cutting-Edge Regional HQ in Dubai South
Avia Solutions Group, recognized as the largest provider of ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) services globally, recently announced the establishment of a new regional headquarters in Dubai South. With a fleet of 187 aircraft operating on six continents, this move marks a significant milestone for the company, slated to be fully operational by the fourth quarter of 2027.
The new facility is expected to employ around 800 staff and will serve as a pivotal hub for Avia Solutions Group’s operations in the Middle East and surrounding regions. It will feature modern workspaces, executive offices, and state-of-the-art meeting facilities, supporting various services including ACMI, cargo, charter, cybersecurity, digital marketing, and aviation insurance.
Innovation Center in Dubai
An exciting aspect of the new regional headquarters is the introduction of an Agentic AI innovation hub aimed at attracting global talent. This initiative will allow Avia Solutions Group to harness cutting-edge technology to enhance its services.
Strategic Location at Dubai South
The choice of Dubai South for the new headquarters is strategic. Avia Solutions Group has maintained a substantial presence in Dubai over the years, and the new facility will be situated in the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH). This designated area adjacent to Al Maktoum International Airport is intended to foster a comprehensive ecosystem for aviation-related activities.
Future of Al Maktoum International Airport
Al Maktoum International Airport, also known as Dubai World Central (DWC), is projected to become the world’s busiest airport following the transfer of passenger and air cargo activities from Dubai International Airport (DXB) by 2032. Looking ahead, DWC aims to accommodate up to 260 million passengers annually by 2050, further solidifying Dubai’s position as a global aviation hub.
Enhancing Dubai’s Global Standing
H.E. Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation, highlighted that Avia Solutions Group’s arrival adds to Dubai’s reputation as a premier destination for global corporations. He noted the emirate’s world-class infrastructure and business-friendly environment as key attractions for international companies seeking expansion.
Gediminas Ziemelis, the Founder and Chairman of Avia Solutions Group, emphasized that establishing the headquarters in such an advanced and integrated aviation ecosystem would help the company attract top talent and effectively meet the needs of clients in the region.
Prior to this announcement, Ziemelis had a meeting with Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, a prominent figure in Dubai’s ruling family and the Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airline, highlighting the importance of this development in reinforcing the ties between the aviation industry and the city’s leadership.
