Cathay Pacific Resumes Non-Stop Flights from Hong Kong to Hyderabad Starting March 30, 2025
Cathay Pacific Airways is set to reinstate its non-stop passenger service between Hong Kong (HKG) and Hyderabad (HYD) on March 30, 2025. This exciting announcement marks a significant step in expanding Cathay Pacific’s network in India and enhancing connectivity through its Hong Kong hub. With bookings now open, travelers can look forward to a seamless flying experience.
Cathay Pacific Hyderabad Service: Details and Expectations
Cathay Pacific’s Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, Lavinia Lau, expressed excitement about the relaunch. She emphasized Hyderabad’s cultural importance and its status as a burgeoning technology hub. “This resumption strengthens our established presence in India and reaffirms our commitment to enhancing our services in this key market,” Lau stated. This new service aims to foster cultural connections and stimulate trade between Hong Kong and India.
- Flight Schedule: Initially, the route will operate three times a week, increasing to five times a week starting September 1, 2025.
- Aircraft: The service will utilize Cathay Pacific’s Airbus A330-300, which features both Business and Economy cabins.
This resumed service is expected to connect more Indian travelers to Hong Kong, mainland China, and various global destinations through Cathay Pacific’s extensive network.
Enhanced Connectivity Through Intermodal Services
In addition to direct flights, Cathay Pacific offers intermodal codeshare services that facilitate easy transfers to cities in the Greater Bay Area via Hong Kong International Airport’s SkyPier Terminal. This includes:
- Ferry Transfers: Convenient ferry services allow passengers to bypass Hong Kong immigration when traveling to seven Greater Bay Area destinations.
- Coach Transfers: Additional coach services provide further travel options to two other destinations.
The service has already gained popularity among Indian travelers, particularly those attending events like the recent Canton Fair, thanks to its proximity to the Guangzhou Pazhou Ferry Terminal.
