Delhi, India – In a significant development for travelers, SpiceJet (SG) and Air India Express (IX) have received approval to operate regular flights to and from Nepal, as announced by the Nepalese civil aviation authority. This move increases the number of Indian carriers serving the Nepal-India route to four, enhancing travel options for passengers.
Currently, Air India (AI) and IndiGo (6E) are the only airlines offering flights between Nepal and India. With the addition of SpiceJet and Air India Express, the number of Indian airlines operating on this route will double, providing greater accessibility for travelers.

Airport Improvements Enhance Travel Experience
Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) is undergoing significant improvements to enhance the travel experience. Maintenance work on the taxiway, which previously caused disruptions, is now progressing without affecting flight operations.
Additionally, the airport has extended its operating hours, now functioning 18 hours daily from 6 AM to midnight. This improvement marks a departure from the 14-hour schedule that was in place since October, allowing for more flexibility for travelers.
