Etihad Airways Celebrates One Year of Success at Terminal A in Zayed International Airport
Etihad Airways has marked a significant milestone, celebrating its first year at Terminal A in Zayed International Airport (AUH). Over the past year, the airline has seen an impressive increase in weekly flights, rising from 1,336 to 1,732. This expansion not only highlights Etihad’s commitment to enhancing travel experiences but also underscores its role in strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global aviation hub.
In November 2023, Etihad Airways fully transitioned from Terminal 3 to the newly constructed Terminal A, with its inaugural flight to New Delhi on October 31, 2023. The flight carried 359 passengers aboard an Airbus A350-1000, setting the stage for a new era of travel through this state-of-the-art facility.
Transforming Travel Experience at Terminal A
Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, expressed enthusiasm about the impact of Terminal A on travel standards. He stated, “In just one year, Terminal A has transformed the travel experience for our guests and supported Etihad’s ambitious growth plans.” The terminal has significantly enhanced service quality, offering passengers greater comfort and convenience.
Key Features of Terminal A:
- Premium Lounge: The terminal boasts a luxurious lounge that spans three floors, featuring the Liwan Global Dining restaurant.
- Constellation Bar: This unique bar is highlighted by a stunning 25-meter glass sculpture representing the Abu Dhabi skyline.
- Be Relax Spa: Open to all passengers, the spa offers complimentary treatments for First Class and Residence guests, enhancing overall travel comfort.
Enhancing Passenger Experience with US Preclearance
A notable addition to Terminal A is the relocation of the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facility, making Abu Dhabi the only airport in the region with a preclearance facility for US travelers. This development further streamlines the travel process, providing a seamless experience for international passengers.
