Cathay Pacific is set to enhance its route offerings by launching direct flights to Munich, Germany, and resuming services to Brussels, Belgium, starting in summer 2025. This exciting development will provide travelers with convenient non-stop connections between Hong Kong and two of Europe’s major cities, making it easier than ever to explore the continent.
Starting June 16, 2025, Cathay Pacific will operate its inaugural passenger flights from Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) to Munich Airport (MUC) four times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Additionally, flights to Brussels will recommence on August 3, 2025, with four return flights weekly. Both routes will be serviced by the state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

In a statement, Lavinia Lau, Cathay Pacific’s Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, emphasized the airline’s long-standing commitment to the European market. "Cathay Pacific has been flying non-stop to Europe for over four decades. We are thrilled to introduce these two new routes, alongside increasing flight frequency on our other European routes next summer," Lau noted.
Summer 2025 Flight Schedule Highlights:
- Munich: Four weekly return flights starting June 16, 2025.
- Brussels: Four weekly return flights resuming August 3, 2025.

- Five daily flights to London
- Daily flights to Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Manchester, Milan, Paris, and Zurich
- Four weekly flights to Madrid and Barcelona
Strengthening Global Connectivity
With this expansion, Cathay Pacific will increase its total flights to Europe to 93 return trips each week, up from the current 78. The airline will also operate seven freighter flights weekly to and from Europe, reinforcing its commitment to cargo services alongside passenger travel.
Travelers from Europe can enjoy seamless connections to numerous destinations in the Asia-Pacific region via Cathay Pacific’s main hub in Hong Kong. This includes access to 19 locations in Mainland China, serviced by both Cathay Pacific and its budget subsidiary, HK Express.
