Al-Omar expressed pride in being part of this historic moment, emphasizing Saudia’s role as a platinum and official airline partner for Riyadh Season 2024. "The season has experienced exceptional growth and transformation year after year and is one of the most anticipated entertainment events," Al-Omar stated.

Behind-the-Scenes: Aircraft Transformation

The transformation of the retired Boeing 777 aircraft into an entertainment venue was no small feat. Technicians from Saudia Technic, a subsidiary of Saudia Group, detailed the intricate process of dismantling, transporting, and reassembling the aircraft from Jeddah to Riyadh. Saudia reported that this entire operation was completed in record time.

Two of the aircraft were retired in 2016, with the third following in 2018. During the launch event, flight attendants shared anecdotes from the aircraft’s 19 years of service, detailing the number of flights, flight hours, and memorable destinations.
