Direct Flight from Denver to Rome
Among the most anticipated additions is the nonstop flight from Denver to Rome, set to connect Denver International Airport (DEN) to Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (FCO). This route will operate from May 1 to September 24, 2025, using a Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The flights will offer over 250 seats, including 48 lie-flat Polaris business class seats, making it an attractive option for both leisure and business travelers.
The Denver to Rome route stretches across 5,563 miles (8,952 KM), with an estimated flight time of approximately 10.5 hours, providing a seamless travel experience between the Rocky Mountains and the Italian capital.
Denver Prepares for Increased Holiday Travel
As United Airlines expands its offerings, Denver International Airport (DEN) is also gearing up for the busy holiday season, expecting over 811,000 passengers between December 19 and December 29, 2024. This represents a 7.95% increase compared to the same period last year.
The peak travel days are projected to be December 20 and December 27, with December 27 alone expected to see 83,307 passengers screened. To ensure a pleasant travel experience, DEN will feature live piano performances and holiday-themed events, including "Santa’s Layover Lounge," a pop-up bar with festive treats.
