Emirates Airlines Expands Airbus A350-900 Routes to Kuwait and Bahrain Starting January 2024

Emirates Airlines has officially announced exciting news for travelers: Kuwait and Bahrain will become the second and third destinations for its state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900, starting January 8, 2024. This move follows the inaugural flight on January 3, 2024, which will take passengers from Dubai International Airport (DXB) to Edinburgh Airport (EDI) in Scotland. The introduction of the Airbus A350-900 marks a significant upgrade in Emirates’ fleet, promising enhanced comfort and efficiency for passengers.

The Emirates A350-900 will provide connections to several key cities, including Bahrain and Kuwait, as part of its initial route rollout. Other destinations include Muscat, Lyon, Bologna, Colombo, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad, highlighting the airline’s commitment to expanding its global reach.

Emirates A350-900 Flight Schedule to Kuwait and Bahrain

Emirates has moved up the deployment of its Airbus A350-900, with the following flight schedules:

Flights to Kuwait

  • Flight EK 853: Departs Dubai at 01:25, arriving in Kuwait at 02:15.
  • Return Flight EK 854: Leaves Kuwait at 03:40, arriving back in Dubai at 06:25.

Flights to Bahrain

  • Flight EK 837: Departs Dubai at 08:20, arriving in Bahrain at 08:40.
  • Return Flight EK 838: Leaves Bahrain at 10:00, arriving back in Dubai at 12:15.
  • Flight EK 839: Takes off at 16:00, arriving in Bahrain at 16:20.
  • Return Flight EK 840: Departs Bahrain at 17:45, arriving back in Dubai at 20:00.

Airbus A350-900 Unveiling and Test Flights

The Emirates A350-900 was officially unveiled on November 27, 2023, in Dubai after its journey from the Airbus factory in Toulouse. Since then, the aircraft, registered as A6-EXA, has been undergoing test flights to prepare for its commercial debut. Notably, on December 31, 2023, A6-EXA successfully completed a flight from Dubai to Kuwait Airport (KWI) and returned shortly after, further confirming its operational readiness.
