Dubai-based Emirates Airlines is gearing up to enhance its flight offerings with the introduction of the Airbus A350-900 on routes to Mumbai (BOM) and Ahmedabad (AMD) starting January 26, 2025. This strategic move marks a significant milestone in Emirates’ operations within India, as the A350-900 will replace the aging Boeing 777-200LR on these popular routes. Mumbai Flights
- Current Operations: Emirates currently operates five daily flights to Mumbai, utilizing the Boeing 777-300ER and 777-200LR aircraft, along with a midnight flight using the Airbus A380-800.
- New A350 Service: Starting January 26, 2025, Emirates will replace one of the five daily flights with the new A350-900, specifically on flights EK 502/503.
- EK 502: Departing Dubai at 01:15 PM, arriving in Mumbai at 05:50 PM (IST) with a flight duration of 3 hours and 5 minutes.
- EK 503: Leaving Mumbai at 07:20 PM (IST) and arriving in Dubai at 09:05 PM, taking 3 hours and 15 minutes.
Ahmedabad Flights
- Current Operations: Emirates operates nine weekly flights to Ahmedabad, primarily using the Boeing 777-200LR and 777-300ER.
- New A350 Service: From January 26, 2025, the daily flights EK 538/539 will transition to the A350-900, while two weekly flights will continue to operate with the older models.
- EK 538: Departing Dubai at 10:50 PM, arriving in Ahmedabad at 02:55 AM (IST) the following day, with a flight time of 2 hours and 35 minutes.
- EK 539: Leaving Ahmedabad at 04:25 AM (IST) and reaching Dubai at 06:15 AM, with a flight time of 2 hours and 20 minutes.
The A350-900 features a seating capacity of approximately 312 passengers, including 32 Business class seats, 21 Premium Economy seats, and 259 Economy class seats. Notably, this will be the first introduction of Emirates’ Premium Economy class on the Ahmedabad route.
