Royal Air Maroc Launches New Direct Service from London-Stansted to Casablanca

Royal Air Maroc, the Moroccan flag carrier and a proud member of the Oneworld alliance, has announced an exciting new direct flight service from London-Stansted Airport (STN) to Casablanca (CMN) starting June 24, 2025. This new route expands the airline’s presence in the greater London area, complementing existing services from London-Heathrow (LHR) and London-Gatwick (LGW).

New Route Details: London-Stansted to Casablanca

The London-Stansted to Casablanca flights will operate three times a week—Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays—using one of Royal Air Maroc’s Boeing 737-800 aircraft from its fleet of 28. The journey covers a distance of approximately 1,337 miles (2,139 km) and has a flight duration of about 3 hours and 20 minutes. This seasonal service will be available from June 24, 2025, until September 14, 2025, coinciding with the peak summer travel period in the UK.

Ciaran Brannigan, Commercial Director at London Stansted, expressed enthusiasm about the new service, highlighting the increased travel options it provides to North Africa. “This service will offer our passengers greater choice and convenience, whether traveling for business or leisure,” he stated.

Strengthening Connections to Africa

Zoubida Smahi, Royal Air Maroc’s UK General Manager, emphasized the airline’s commitment to connecting travelers to its extensive network across Africa. “We are thrilled to link London Stansted with Casablanca, one of Morocco’s most culturally rich cities,” she said.

With the addition of this new route, Royal Air Maroc now operates flights to all three major London airports, offering a total of 19 weekly flights. The airline’s services from Heathrow and Gatwick are strategically scheduled to connect with its broader Western and Central African network via Casablanca.

More Options for Travelers

For the summer of 2025, Royal Air Maroc’s new service will enhance travel options from London-Stansted to a total of eight Moroccan destinations, which include Agadir, Essaouira, Fez, Ouarzazate, Marrakech, Rabat, and Tangier. All of these routes are currently served by Ryanair, except for Casablanca, further diversifying the travel landscape for passengers.

London-Stansted Airport, known for serving more European destinations than any other UK airport, now boasts nearly 200 destinations across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East, with this new service further strengthening its route network.
