Etihad Airways Expands Its Network with New Flights to Peshawar

Etihad Airways is set to enhance its service offerings with the introduction of direct flights from Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport (AUH) to Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport (PEW) starting September 29, 2025. This exciting new route marks Etihad’s fourth destination in Pakistan, further solidifying its commitment to connecting travelers to and from the region.

With this new service, Etihad Airways will operate its 16th new destination for 2025, showcasing its dedication to expanding its global network. The airline currently serves three other major cities in Pakistan: Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore, making it a key player in connecting the UAE with Pakistan.

New Flight Details

Etihad Airways will utilize its Airbus A320 family aircraft for the Peshawar route, providing a comfortable travel experience with eight business class seats and 150 in economy. Initially, flights will operate five times a week, with plans to increase to daily service starting November 22, 2025.

  • Flight EY 276:

    • Departing Abu Dhabi at 02:45 local time
    • Arriving in Peshawar at 06:55 local time
    • Operates on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday
  • Flight EY 277:
    • Departing Peshawar at 08:50 local time
    • Arriving in Abu Dhabi at 11:15 local time
    • Operates on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday

Commitment to Connectivity

Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, expressed enthusiasm for the new route: “We are thrilled to further expand our presence in Pakistan with the launch of our daily service between Abu Dhabi and Peshawar. This new route reflects our commitment to providing vital connectivity for travelers between Pakistan and the Gulf, Africa, Europe, and North America.”

Additionally, Etihad will increase its frequency to Karachi to 17 flights a week starting October 1, 2025, catering to the significant Pakistani expatriate community in the UAE, which numbers approximately 1.9 million.
