BermudAir Introduces New Flights Linking Bermuda and Anguilla to NYC
BermudAir, a privately owned airline operating from LF Wade International Airport (BDA) in Bermuda, is set to launch new routes connecting the island with Newark-Liberty International Airport (EWR) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA) in New York. These services are expected to begin the week of October 26, 2025.
The flights to Newark will operate twice a week, specifically on Thursdays and Sundays. Departing from Bermuda at 08:00 local time, they will reach Newark by 09:30. For returning travelers, flights will leave Newark at 11:00, arriving back in Bermuda at 14:15. In addition, LaGuardia connections will also run twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Starting December 18, 2025, passengers from Newark can also book flights to Anguilla’s Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (AXA). These flights, branded as Anguilla, will be under the operation of BermudAir and will occur twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays, enhancing the previously announced routes from Boston and Baltimore.
“These new seasonal services pave the way for travelers from the New York metro area to explore the unique offerings of both Bermuda and Anguilla. By enhancing the airline’s existing presence in New York, we’re providing greater flexibility and connections to one of Bermuda’s key visitor markets,” said the airline in an official statement.
Adam Scott, the Founder & CEO of BermudAir, stressed the importance of expanding service in the New York area. “This significant move allows leisure and business travelers alike to enjoy more convenient access to Bermuda. The new Newark to Anguilla flights also address the demand for accessible Caribbean experiences,” he noted.
The Honourable Cardigan Connor, Anguilla’s Minister of Health, Sports, and Tourism, expressed enthusiasm for the new service. “This connection simplifies travel for U.S. visitors eager to experience Anguilla’s natural beauty and cultural heritage. Direct flights will undoubtedly draw more tourists and help solidify Anguilla’s status as a prime Caribbean getaway,” he stated.
Jameel Rochester, Director of Tourism, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the positive impact of BermudAir’s nonstop service from Newark. “With the addition of direct flights from Boston, Baltimore, and Newark, the U.S. Northeast now enjoys unprecedented access to our award-winning island, enhancing the overall travel experience,” he remarked.
