China Eastern Airlines Restarts Flights Between Top Two Most Populous Nations

BEIJING— China Eastern Airlines (MU) is preparing to restart direct flights between Shanghai Pudong Airport (PVG) and Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) on November 9. This marks the revival of a vital air route between China and India after five years of interruptions.

The airline’s online itinerary indicates that the Shanghai–Delhi service will be available three times a week. This development comes as diplomatic relations between the two nations show signs of improvement after a prolonged period marked by border tensions and the global pandemic.
