Air France Welcomes Its 15th Airbus A220-300 from ABL Aviation

Air France has officially welcomed its 15th and final Airbus A220-300 from ABL Aviation, marking the conclusion of a significant sale-and-leaseback arrangement established in 2022.

On November 17, 2025, ABL Aviation, a company specializing in aircraft leasing and investment management, confirmed the completion of its partnership to deliver this fleet of 15 aircraft.

The latest Airbus A220-300 arrived at Air France on November 7, 2025, after a journey from Montréal-Mirabel Airport (YMX) in Canada. This model was initially ordered by Air France back in 2019.

This aircraft has already begun servicing various European routes, connecting cities such as Paris, Amsterdam, Marseille, Toulouse, and Vienna, as reported by flight tracking services.

This momentous delivery was highlighted by Ali Ben Lmadani, Founder and CEO of ABL Aviation. He stated, “This final delivery is a proud milestone for ABL Aviation. From the first aircraft to the fifteenth, our partnership with Air France has shown what can be achieved through alignment, discipline, and shared vision. We are grateful for Air France’s continued trust and proud to have supported their fleet modernization strategy with one of the world’s most efficient narrow-body aircraft.”

The A220-300 is equipped with two Pratt & Whitney PW1521G-3 engines, playing a crucial role in Air France’s fleet renewal strategy.

An ABL Aviation spokesperson explained, “Since the inception of the mandate, ABL Aviation has worked alongside Air France and its investors to structure and deliver 15 Airbus A220-300 aircraft, each supported by tailored financing and rigorous execution standards.”

They further noted, “This transaction highlights ABL Aviation’s capability to manage complex, multi-year mandates and underscores its growing leadership in the global aircraft leasing and asset management space.”
