Airbus Welcomes Buraq Air as Latest A320neo Family Customer with 10 Jet Deal
Buraq Air has recently joined the ranks of A320neo family customers by entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbus for the acquisition of 10 aircraft during the Dubai Airshow.
The agreement was formally established on November 19, 2025, by Fouzi Almiqalh, President of the General Assembly at Buraq Air, alongside Benoit de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus’ Executive Vice President of Sales for Commercial Aircraft.
Presently, Buraq Air operates a small fleet that includes three A320-200s, which were previously with Cebu Pacific Air and are owned by AFG Aviation Ireland.
“This agreement marks an important milestone for Buraq Air as we aim to modernize our fleet and expand our reach. The efficiency and versatility of the A320neo will be vital in reinforcing our key network and will also create a smooth platform for our strategic partner, Medsky Airways, to enhance our joint passenger offerings,” stated Fouzi Almiqalh.
Founded in 2020, Buraq Air also flies a single Boeing 737-800, as reported by PlaneSpotters.net.
Benoit de Saint-Exupéry expressed enthusiasm about welcoming Buraq Air into the Airbus family: “We appreciate their confidence in us. This agreement showcases the A320neo as the preferred choice for fleet modernization, and we are committed to supporting Buraq Air’s strategic expansion plans.”
As of late October 2025, the A320neo family has garnered over 11,300 orders from 150 customers globally.
Airbus took to social media to announce: “Welcome to the #A320neo Family, Buraq Air! This order for 10 of the world’s most successful single-aisle aircraft signifies a major advancement for the airline, enabling them to modernize their fleet and provide an enhanced comfort experience for passengers traveling to more destinations.”
