Singapore Airlines and ANA Extend Boeing Deals with Collins Aerospace

Both Singapore Airlines and All Nippon Airways (ANA) showcased their commitment to expanded service contracts with RTX’s Collins Aerospace at the Singapore Airshow 2026.

On February 3, 2026, Collins Aerospace announced the renewal of FlightSense contracts with both airlines. This full lifecycle maintenance support program is pivotal for enhancing operational efficiency in aviation.

Singapore Airlines has committed to covering its Boeing 777 fleet for an additional five years. This fleet includes 27 aircraft, with five Boeing 777F models now also part of the program.

The airline first collaborated with Collins Aerospace for FlightSense in 2008, focusing on maintenance solutions for its Boeing 777 operations.

“Collins Aerospace has supported Singapore Airlines over the long term, demonstrating a consistent focus on trust, innovation, and reliability,” stated Ryan Hudson, Vice President of Aftermarket for Collins Aerospace’s Power and Controls unit. He emphasized that this ongoing commitment underscores their dedication to tailored service solutions that adapt to the evolving needs of the aviation industry.

FlightSense is specifically designed to meet airlines’ operational requirements, offering enhanced performance and reliability. The program also incorporates Collins’ Ascentia platform, which features advanced prognostics and health management software for customizable support.

All Nippon Airways Renews FlightSense and MRO Contracts

As part of its growth strategy, ANA also signed two separate FlightSense renewal agreements with Collins Aerospace on February 3, 2026. The first agreement is a five-year renewal, providing on-site support for the airline’s fleets, including Boeing 737NG/MAX, 767, 777, and 787 aircraft, as well as De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400s.

This established cost-per-flight hour agreement, in place since 2001, assures guaranteed component availability and cost predictability through a fixed-rate model. Collins will deliver predictive maintenance support to optimize performance across various systems, including environmental, electrical, and engine control systems.

“ANA is delighted to reaffirm our long-standing strategic relationship with Collins Aerospace,” remarked Yukifumi Ueda, Vice President and General Manager at ANA. He noted that their collaboration has been fundamental to maintenance excellence at ANA Component Technics in Nagasaki. This renewal deepens their operational resilience and ensures the highest standards of safety and reliability for their customers.

Additionally, ANA has extended its MRO repair agreement with Collins, originally established in 2017, for three more years. This agreement covers accessories for its Rolls-Royce Trent 1000-powered Boeing 787 Dreamliners.

Accessories involved include engine electronic controllers, hydromechanical units, fuel pump systems, and variable stator vane actuators. “We believe this significant agreement marks an exciting new chapter for both ANA and Collins,” commented Iwao Takeshita, Vice President at All Nippon Airways.

These renewed contracts underscore the ongoing importance of maintenance support in the aviation industry. How do you think such partnerships shape the future of airline operations?
