Korean Air Introduces Three New Lounges at Seoul-Incheon Airport
Korean Air revealed a significant update on August 14, 2025, with the completion of the initial phase of its lounge revitalization project at Incheon International Airport (ICN), conveniently located just west of Seoul.
The first phase includes a complete redesign of the Miller Club Lounge and introduces two new Prestige Garden Lounges, tagged “East” and “West,” situated at each end of Incheon’s distinctive C-shaped Terminal 2.
These lounges are set to open on August 18, 2025, as part of a larger initiative that aims to complete three additional lounges by 2026. This effort aligns with Incheon’s extensive redevelopment plan, known as the “Phase 4 Expansion Project,” which is estimated at $3.5 billion.
The upcoming lounge additions for 2026 will feature renovated First Class, Prestige East (Left), and Prestige West lounges, positioned in the terminal’s central section.
Upon the completion of this lounge expansion, Korean Air will have significantly increased its lounge space from 5,105 to 12,270 square meters and raised its seating capacity from 898 to 1,566.
The new lounges are designed with hotel-like lobbies, offering distinct areas for dining, relaxation, business meetings, and wellness activities.
A standout feature will be the “Live Stations,” where chefs from the Grand Hyatt Incheon will prepare meals in real-time for guests. Visitors can also enjoy a curated buffet with a blend of Korean and Western culinary delights, alongside a bakery and salad bar. The Miller Club Lounge will feature its own barista to enhance the beverage experience.
An array of amenities, including shower facilities and private powder rooms, will also be available in the new lounges.
Korean Air collaborated with a global design studio, known for its expertise in luxury hospitality, to achieve a refined aesthetic. The design incorporates the new premium cabin colors (gold, charcoal, black, and ivory) with a touch of traditional Korean architectural elements, complemented by modern materials.
This major investment is partly driven by the upcoming integration of Asiana Airlines into Korean Air. The merger, anticipated to enhance the brand’s offerings, was officially completed in December 2024, though both airlines still operate under their distinct identities.
Korean Air’s ongoing investment initiatives aim to redefine its brand identity and enhance its value proposition significantly.
In March 2025, as part of its modernization efforts, the airline unveiled a new livery and showcased several innovative products and services. These improvements include redesigned cabin interiors and the launch of a new Premium Economy class, as well as state-of-the-art lounges at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and in the forthcoming New Terminal One at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).
