Flyadeal Introduces Daily Flights to Syria from Riyadh and Jeddah
Saudi Arabian low-cost airline flyadeal has officially initiated daily flight services to Damascus International Airport (DAM), the capital of Syria.
Starting October 1, 2025, flyadeal will offer three weekly flights from Jeddah, a major port city in Saudi Arabia. The service from the capital, Riyadh, will commence the following day, featuring four weekly flights.

The launch ceremony at King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) in Jeddah was attended by CEO Steven Greenway and airport officials. The inaugural flight, F3 741, received a ceremonial water cannon salute upon arrival in Damascus.

Greenway expressed enthusiasm about the new routes, stating, “It’s a momentous occasion to finally launch our Damascus flights from two gateway cities in the Kingdom, long needed to help many Syrians travel back to their homeland and reunite with family and friends.”
He added, “With over two million Syrians living and working in the Kingdom, restoring air links provides great relief and will support the economic redevelopment of Syria as the country embarks on rebuilding its infrastructure while attracting much-needed investment from the international community.”
In a special interview with AeroTime in May 2025, Greenway discussed the positive shift in travel to the region following a visit from US President Trump. He noted that this visit unexpectedly contributed to the normalization of relations with Syria, leading to the lifting of several sanctions.
