Etihad Airways Introduces New Flights to Hong Kong and Partners with HK Airlines

China Airlines (CI) plans to retrofit its Airbus A350 fleet to enhance passenger comfort and experience, following a trend among Asia-Pacific airlines. An agreement with Airbus was signed on December 9, 2023, to upgrade 15 A350 aircraft, with the first retrofitted plane entering service in 2027 and completion expected by 2028. The overhaul will improve all three classes with ergonomic seating and upgraded in-flight entertainment. This initiative reflects CI’s commitment to modernizing its offerings to compete with carriers like Cathay Pacific, which recently introduced its luxurious Aria Suite, raising industry standards for passenger experience.
